Gangsta’s Paradise Fame Rapper, Coolio Passes Away At 59,Michelle Pfeiffer And Ice Cube Pays Tribute

The famous rapper, producer and actor Coolio whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr, who was best known for 1995 hit Gangsta’s Paradise passed away on Wednesday. He was discovered unresponsive on the washroom floor of a friend’s LA house. The rapper’s manager also released a message about his death following which honors have been flowing in for the artist. Coolio was best known for the 1995 hit Gangsta’s Paradise.
The late rapper’s manager Jarez Posey an emotional statement and said, We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend and client, Coolio, who passed away this afternoon. Thank you to everyone worldwide who has heard his music and to everyone who has been arriving out regarding his death. Please have Coolio’s valued ones in your views and prayers, via Variety.


Coolio gained success and became world famous with its song Gangsta’s Paradise which was recorded for the 1995 film Dangerous Minds starring Michelle Pfeiffer. In that year Coolio’s song was nominated for record of the year and eventually gained him EMMY AWARD for best rap solo. His costar Michelle Pfeiffer wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram and posted a picture of him, she penned that-Heartbroken to hear of the demise of the gifted artist @coolio. A life cut absolutely too short. As some of you may know I was fortunate adequate to work with him on Dangerous Minds in 1995. He won a Grammy for his radiant song on the soundtrack – which I think was the reason our film witnessed so much success.30 years later I still get coolness when I listen to the song.
