The runtime of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been disclosed; behind Avengers: Endgame, it is the second-longest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed with The Walt Disney Company that movie theatre chains in America had begun to list a runtime of two hours and 41 minutes.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the longest Phase 4 film as well as the longest non-Avengers film in the entire MCU, according to a new listing at Cineplex, clocking in at 2 hours 41 minutes. Eternals now holds the record with a time of 2 hours, 36 minutes. However it is outpaced by the Black Panther sequel by a full five minutes. Even though Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed the runtime, it makes sense.

One thing is that the passing of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman leaves a lot of questions unanswered in the movie’s first act and given the recent Wakanda Forever teaser trailer’s abundance of fresh story, it appears like there is sufficient rationale for a somewhat lengthy duration. According to Wakanda Forever’s director Ryan Coogler, the film will deal with the loss of the original Black Panther and the idea of continuing one’s life against overwhelming obstacles.

These are undoubtedly significant issues that cannot be resolved in a constrained amount of time. Not to note the absence of a single protagonist in Wakanda Forever. The movie will instead centre on a bigger ensemble, including Lupita Nyong’o’s Nakia, Letitia Wright’s Shuri, Angela Bassett’s Queen Ramonda, and Winston Duke’s M’Baku. On November 11, 2022, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to premiere.
