Benoit Blanc will have to dig into some fresh murder mystery suspects in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, as shown in a first-look trailer. Blanc, as portrayed by Daniel Craig of No Time to Die, first appeared in Rian Johnson’s 2019 mystery Knives Out, which he also directed as the director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The movie, which featured a huge ensemble cast of A-listers like Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, and Chris Evans, was a huge hit, grossing over $300 million off of its $40 million budget and catapulting its star Ana de Armas’s career into the stratosphere. She later worked on much more notable projects like the spy thriller The Gray Man and the Marilyn Monroe drama Blonde, which will be available on Netflix on September 28.
Knives Out star Dwayne Johnson’s much-anticipated comeback, Glass Onion, will have a limited theatrical run before making its Netflix debut on December 23. This time, Blanc is on a private island in Greece with computer tycoon Miles Bron (Edward Norton). He must once again smell out the murderer when a particularly perplexing murder mystery occurs, who may be any of the new cast members gathering around the investigator? Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, and The Black Phone actor Ethan Hawke have all portrayed parts in this.
Earlier today, Netflix released a sneak peek of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery at their international fan event TUDUM. The segment gives the audience a better look at the different suspects that Blanc will be looking into throughout the movie. Watch the video below:
