The New Mutants will soon be available for streaming on Disney+. On Friday, October 14, 2022, The New Mutants will be available for streaming on Disney+ in the United States, according to Disney Plus Informer. The movie will debut alongside other new content on Disney+ in October, including the new Marvel special Werewolf By Night.

The X-Men cinematic universe’s The New Mutants centres on a group of five teens with mutant powers who are detained in a covert medical facility overseen by Dr. Cecilia Reyes (Alice Braga). Magick, Cannonball, Mirage, Wolfsbane, and Sunspot, five young mutants, were informed that they would be given training to use their new abilities. They are all given treatments that are meant to heal them, but when they start to wonder about their time in the hospital, their memories quickly turn horrifying.

The New Mutants movie adaptation of the Marvel Comics series started filming in 2017 with a 2018 release date in mind. However, due to various difficulties, including a round of reshoots, a Disney and 20th Century Fox merger quandary, and the then-rising COVID-19 cases, which greatly harmed the film business, The New Mutants wasn’t released until 2020. The X-Men movie, which was influenced by 90s horror movies, was poorly received by fans and did poorly at the box office, earning only $49 million.

While the 2019 film Dark Phoenix serves as the final entry in the main X-Men film series, the 2020 release of the spinoff The New Mutants serves as the final entry in that particular film series. The X-Men characters will be relaunched for their entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to later reports. The screenplay for The New Mutants was co-written by Josh Boone and Knate Lee. Adam Beach, Charlie Heaton, Anya Taylor-Joy, Blu Hunt, Henry Zaga, and Maisie Williams are among the actors who appear in the movie.
