At the D23 Expo, Marvel premieres the first clip from Loki season 2. In his first-ever solo project, a Disney+ streaming series set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Tom Hiddleston returned to play his fan-favorite character Loki last year. Loki encountered trouble with the Time Variance Authority in the first season, which is in charge of ensuring that time moves according to plan. The Loki season 1 teaser announced that a second season would be added, making Loki the first live-action Marvel Disney+ drama to go beyond a miniseries.

After he alter ego Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), the founder and caretaker of the TVA was slain by the enigmatic He. The latter Remains (Jonathan Majors), Loki season one ended with the trickster finding himself in a new reality. His demise gave the famed Kang the Conqueror, a variation of himself, the opportunity to rule the multiverse. Given that the MCU is now in the middle of the Multiverse Saga, it is expected that Loki season 2 will play a significant role in the overall plot.

Hiddleston and the Loki cast made an appearance on stage at the D23 Expo this year to promote the next episodes. Attendees saw the first clip, and Screen Rant was there to give a thorough explanation. Loki is initially seen following a person as they turn pages in a book. But he is sent somewhere else before he arrives. Loki claims to be being “dragged forward in time. And I have seen dreadful, dreadful things.” Kang’s visage is etched into the wall behind a hologram when he opens a kind of gateway to reveal it. Casey, played by Eugene Cordero, appears to be a hostage or in some type of strange jail. Mobius M. Mobius, played by Owen Wilson, is portrayed wearing elegant outfits and an astronaut suit. Loki’s “tag” is a list of all the people who have referred to him as a villain when Mobius inquires, “Who said you were?”

On paper, Loki season 2 appears to provide the multiverse thrills that this year’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness first promised. Loki will be hurtling across several realities to fix what was wrong as he is now completely lost amid freshly split histories. The show should have many possibilities to explore interesting, surprising parts of the Marvel universe as a result. With the release of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in 2025, Kang the Conqueror appears to be Loki season 2’s main antagonist. Marvel is now setting the stage for his evil tyranny. Although it is unknown if Loki will ever meet Kang, it would be thrilling if the MCU’s first significant nemesis had the opportunity to face the franchise’s newest foe.

It will sadly be some time before Marvel releases this footage because Loki season 2 isn’t set to premiere until the summer of 2023. It most certainly won’t surface until after the February release of Kang’s other film, Ant-Man, and the Wasp: Quantumania. However, there are enough fascinating hints in the description of this Loki season 2 clip to keep rumors alive. Several things now appear to be certain: Season 2 will continue the fantastic Loki and Mobius relationship, the protagonists will face a significant threat from the multiverse, and things will only get more fascinating from here.
