The showrunners aren’t staying silent, and the Miyagi-verse story is far from done.
In the action-packed finale of Cobra Kai season 5, Ralph Macchio’s character, Daniel, successfully puts an end to Terry Silver’s (Thomas Ian Griffith) rule over the Valley by crane-kicking him into oblivion. In the aftermath, rivalries developed, leaving the youngsters to form their connections. But it won’t be long before another criminal disturbs the quiet as John Kreese (Martin Kove) makes his way out of jail with a list of debts to pay.
Here is all we know about Cobra Kai season 6’s release date, characters, episodes, spoilers, and more while we wait to see what happens next in the show’s saga:
Will Cobra Kai return for a sixth season?
Cobra Kai season 6 hasn’t been formally confirmed, but all indications are that it will return. Along with acknowledging that there is still more to the plot, creator Jon Hurwitz also disclosed to Variety that the production is still adjusting the specifics, particularly because he and co-creators Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg are juggling other Netflix projects.
The conversation typically turns to Cobra Kai after a hard day of filming [another Netflix show] Obliterated, Jon told the publication. “There are many plans and ideas for the future. We have a lot of ideas for these characters, and we can’t wait to take that next step.”
When will Cobra Kai’s sixth season be released?
Be patient, San. Even though Cobra Kai season 6 appears to be on the horizon, it can be some time before we get the exact release date. When they would begin filming and writing, Jon responded to a fan’s question on Twitter. There is not currently a screenplay for Season 6 of Cobra Kai, according to the show’s creator. Will work on it after filming Obliterated, but there is already a tonne of brilliant ideas! #CobraKai.”
Who will play the main roles in Cobra Kai season 6?
Without his best adversary Johnny Lawrence, Daniel LaRusso would not exist (William Zabka). Consider inviting these additional well-known figures back to the dojo as well:
As Chozen, Yuji Okumoto
Amanda LaRusso is played by Courtney Henggeler.
Carmen played by Vanessa Rubio
Miguel Diaz is played by Xolo Marijuana.
Robby Keene played by Tanner Buchanan
Sam LaRusso is played by Mary Mouser.
Peyton List as Tory Nichols and Jacob Bertrand as Hawk
As Demetri, Gianni DeCenzo
Expect more The Karate Kid returns following the cliffhanger of the last season, such as Kreese who escaped prison using a false death. Given his “no-lose” mindset, it could not be the end of Silver either. Before his defeat, Silver managed to get Cobra Kai into the Sekai Taikai international karate competition, which sensei Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) had promised her father she would win. If she didn’t follow through on her promise to come back, we would be shocked.
