After falling on stage at the Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis on Saturday, the 27-year-old rapper said he was “winded,” but he still intended to carry on with his tour.
Rapper Post Malone fractured his ribs over the weekend while performing in St. Louis after falling through a hole on stage, according to his management.
On Saturday, the 27-year-old performer collapsed mid-song at the Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis.
Social media videos purportedly showed the musician rolling over in anguish and grasping his ribs after falling into a trap door used to carry equipment on and off stage.
His manager, Dre London, revealed in a statement on Sunday that the artist had damaged ribs from the incident but was recovering.
“After the concert, we went to the hospital for X-rays, and they said he had injured his ribs!” London expressed gratitude that no ribs were broken by the performer.
He commended Post Malone for finishing the performance and continuing to sing despite the incident.
Additionally, he posted a video explanation of the difficult fall from Post Malone, which the musician had previously shared on Twitter.
Post Malone added, “So every time we perform the acoustic portion of the act, the guitars on the guitar stand fall down and there’s this gigantic a-hole, so I walk around there, I turn the corner and burst my a-.” Winded me up rather well,
After visiting the hospital, where he was given painkillers, the rapper declared he intended to carry on with the tour.
