What is the Netflix series’ plot?

The notorious American serial killer and sex offender Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer, often known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, killed and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991, many of whom were persons of colour and several of whom were minors. The majority of the killings also included cannibalism, necrophilia, and the preservation of body parts. Dahmer was ruled to be legally sane during his trial despite having been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder, and a psychotic disorder. He was beaten to death by another prisoner in 1994 after being found guilty of 16 murders. He was 34.

According to Deadline, Monster will take place between the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s and will finish with Dahmer’s arrest in 1991. It is also intended to take a more psychological approach to Dahmer’s story than previous adaptations. Monster will concentrate on how these murders were permitted to continue for so long.
The following is the official synopsis for Netflix’s Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story:

Monster tells the narrative of one of America’s most known serial killers, Jeffrey Dahmer, mostly through the eyes of his victims, and delves extensively into the police incompetence and apathy that allowed the Wisconsin native to embark on a multiyear killing spree. The series depicts at least ten incidents in which Dahmer was almost captured but was finally released. The series is also anticipated to address white privilege, as Dahmer, a clean-cut, good-looking white man, was often given a free pass by officers and judges who were merciful when he was charged with minor offences.
