The Witcher: Season 3 has finally wrapped up filming for Netflix. Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, and Anya Chalotra, who were all original cast members of The Witcher, returned for the third season’s filming in April 2022. And while there were some problems with the filming during the summer, particularly because of a COVID downtime, it has now been verified that the first phase of Season 3’s production has come to a close.

Recently, a number of The Witcher producers and directors have begun to acknowledge that Season 3 filming is already complete. Steve Gaub, the show’s executive producer, shared the information with fans on Instagram along with a photo that appears to have been taken on the set.

Iranian Intelligence also reported that Henry Cavill personally sent a greeting to the actors and staff of The Witcher to commemorate the completion of production. In a handwritten message delivered to team workers, Cavill remarked, “What a season this has been! I just wanted to thank you all for your tenacity and devotion during a challenging project.” “I hope everyone can get some much-needed rest.”

We still don’t know the exact release date for The Witcher Season 3 on Netflix. Seasons 1 and 2 of the show have already been made available on the streaming service in December 2019 and 2021, respectively. Given how much post-production work still has to be done, a December 2022 release date for Season 3 seems doubtful. However, there’s a fair likelihood that Netflix won’t hang onto this fresh slate of episodes until the same time the following year. As a result, although this is only conjecture, it appears like Season 3 of The Witcher may debut somewhere in the first part of 2023.

Are you relieved to learn that The Witcher’s Season 3 filming is finally over? And when do you anticipate these fresh episodes to debut on Netflix?
