Whom can you rely on? Nick Fury has undoubtedly asked himself this question every day of his life. At the very least, ever since he was made the super spy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The list of responses to that query has, for one reason or another, getting shorter and shorter as he has aged. But now, according to “Secret Invasion,” the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. may as well toss away the entire list.

Fury discovers that a radical Skrull faction has been covertly invading Earth for an unknown period in the newest Marvel Studios series for Disney+. They were anyone in the world because of their ability to change their shape. The list of suspects is extensive and includes everyone from the neighbor down the street to the postal worker and municipal leaders to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Therefore, it’s up to Marvel’s master spy to unravel what might be the largest enigma he’s ever encountered. We may now get a glimpse of what “Mr. Robot” creator Kyle Bradstreet has in store for True Believers very shortly courtesy of the first trailer for the forthcoming Phase Five program.
