Kit Harington gives his opinion of the newest House of the Dragon prequel to Game of Thrones.

The actor discussed the new HBO series, which has already had three episodes air, with Entertainment Tonight Canada while promoting his film Baby Ruby at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Jon Snow’s Game of Thrones co-star Kit Harington revealed that he is watching House of the Dragon, whose season one co-showrunner is Miguel Sapochnik, a former director on Thrones.

I’m having a great time, Harington added. “Thanks to my friend Miguel who presented it to me, I’m enjoying it. I believe they performed a fantastic job.”

“It’s a hard one to start a whole new show in the same type of universe and to make it its own thing, and I believe that they’ve done that,” the Eternals actor said.

It shouldn’t be shocking at all that Harington is still considering Westeros. The prequel, which would take place after the events of Game of Thrones, and the fact that Kit Harington will reprise his role as Jon Snow was originally made public by The Hollywood Reporter in June.

Daniel Fienberg, the head television reviewer for The Hollywood Reporter, stated in his review of House of the Dragon that the program “feels reverse-engineered to give ardent Game of Thrones fans a copy of everything they appreciated about the original series.” “It’s unsettling to witness House of the Dragon losing its uniqueness and becoming more dependent on Game of Thrones as it develops when it ought to be the reverse,” he continued.
