 Months after reacting to reports that she was paid $5 million less than her Don`t Look Up co-star Leonardo DiCaprio for the film, actor Jennifer Lawrence has now said that she will not `get paid as much as that guy, because of her vagina’. In a new interview, Jennifer Lawrence said that even if she puts in an effort it won’t matter as the pay gap will stay. 

  Don’t Look Up (2021) is a satire-comedy film written, co-produced, and directed by Adam McKay from a story he co-wrote with David Sirota. The film features Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Timothee Chalamet, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, and Kid Cudi.  Speaking about pay gap in Hollywood, Jennifer told Vogue, “It doesn`t matter how much I do. Are you still not getting paid as much as this guy because of your vagina? ”

 Last year, Vanity Fair reported that Jennifer received his $25 million for “Don’t Look Up,” while Leonardo DiCaprio received his $30 million. On the portal, Jennifer  said, “Yes, I’ve seen that too. Look, Leo makes more money at the box office than I do. I’m very happy and satisfied with my deal… but , I’ve seen it in other situations, and I’m sure other women at work have seen the same thing, but asking for equal pay is very offensive. And when I ask about what seems to be inequality, I’m told it’s not about gender differences, but I’m not exactly sure what  it is. 

 Jennifer is next set to star in Lilla Neugebauer’s psychological drama Causeway. In addition to Jennifer, the film  also stars Brian Tyree Henry. The film will be released on Apple TV+ next month. Her fans last saw her  in Don’t Look Up. The film follows two astronomers trying to warn humanity of an approaching comet that will destroy human civilization.
