On Sunday, September 4, 2022 on ABC, The Bachelorette Season 19 premiered its two-part finale. The two-hour episode followed Gabby Windey and Rachel Rechhia as they completed the last leg of their search for love and developed closer relationships with their potential partners. In this week’s episode of The Bachelorette, Rachel and Gabby discussed their travels in the lead-up to their fantasy suite date.

Dating started right away, with Gabby’s first date going to Erich Schwer. Erich declared his love to her before the two retired to a dream suite at night after spending the day battling each other’s anxieties and jumping off high platforms into pools. The following morning, they made a delayed exit because they were sad to part ways after their romantic evening. When Erich revealed a hint of his insecurity, Gabby begged him to “just be patient” as she handled the remaining episodes of her stint as the Bachelorette. Both parties were visibly distressed as they said goodbye to one another.

While this was going on, Rachel’s first encounter with Aven Jones on a yacht was positive and fun. Aven acknowledged that he was in love with Rachel in his hometown since she was so adored and accepted by his family. Due to anxieties she still had from her time on “The Bachelor,” when Clayton Echard carelessly informed several ladies he was in love with them, Rachel was cautious to express her own feelings. She had already admitted to Aven that she was falling in love with him by the time the two were offered a dream suite, and they spent the night together.

The two discussed the events of the previous week before beginning their everyday activity: riding horses. Rachel was comforted by Tino’s assurances that his family would change their minds and that he still saw her as the future. She quickly and gladly responded to his “I love you” to complete the validation. The two nevertheless chose to spend the night together despite their different hometowns and made their way to the dream suites with newly exchanged “I love yous.”On Gabby’s subsequent date, they spent the day having fun on a yacht at Johnny DePhillipo. However, the date changed when Johnny acknowledged he wasn’t prepared to propose, saying he didn’t want to press Gabby if he couldn’t.

He was interested in her, but his lack of dedication was enough to send him packing, and he fled before they even made it to the fantasy suite. After he left, Gabby said that she wanted to be the one selected. Even though she was disappointed by Johnny’s decision to leave, she was secure in her connections with Erich and third-place candidate Jason Alabaster and their determination to settle down. In contrast, Jason and Jesse had a private discussion in which Jason acknowledged that he was not yet prepared to make a kneeling proposal. Erich was waiting for Gabby when she came after receiving a note from an unknown suitor. When he said that she should be with him, what had been a beautiful justification to spend time together, turned bitter.

The disclosure bothered Gabby, who admitted they had discussed it in private and off-camera in the dream suite. She was upset that the topic of him feeling like he was “cheated on” was being brought up again. Gabby was angry that she had to justify herself and her behaviour during the confrontation, which resulted in tears. Her once-confident belief in the relationship was “tested,” and it resulted in a dread that her partner wasn’t there. “For me, this feels like the end,” said Gabby.
