For years, fans of fictional detective stories have been eagerly awaiting any news about the highly awaited film, Sherlock Holmes 3. The movie was supposed to come out on December 22, 2021, but it didn’t. There is currently no set date for the action mystery movie. However, there is some good news!
Later this year, filming for the third Sherlock Holmes movie from Warner Bros. is anticipated to begin. One Take News verified the information. The stars appear to have finally lined up for this problematic film after repeated delays. OTN said that they checked the information from several sources and discovered that Sherlock Holmes 3 will begin filming in Atlanta, Georgia, towards the end of the year.

Fans might then anticipate Sherlock Holmes 3 to be released in 2023 or 2024 if production really does begin towards the end of 2022.
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson (Jude Law) face up against the mysterious, would-be global ruler Lord Henry Blackwood in the first film (played by Mark Strong). Professor James Moriarty, Sherlock’s bitter rival, first introduced in Sherlock Holmes 2. (Jared Harris).

Chris Brancato, co-creator of the critically acclaimed criminal thriller “Narcos” on Netflix and the crime drama “Godfather of Harlem” on Epix, wrote the script for Sherlock Holmes 3. Although the narrative hasn’t been announced, one of the producers, Susan Downey, remarked during a panel at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in October 2020, “At this moment, we genuinely feel that there isn’t a mystery-verse built out anyplace, and Conan Doyle is the definitive voice in that space.”
Added she, “Still, I believe. So why do a third film, in my opinion, if you won’t be able to branch off into some true pearls of diversity and various eras and elements? We believe there is room to develop it further.”

Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. both declared they will return for Sherlock Holmes 3. If Kelly Reilly (Watson’s wife Mary), Stephen Fry (Sherlock’s brother Mycroft), or Eddie Marsan (Inspector Lestrade) will appear in Sherlock Holmes 3 has not yet been determined.

The release date for Sherlock Holmes 3 hasn’t been made public yet.
