The Warner Bros. and DC Films undertaking is a follow-up to Joker, the 2019 DC villain-based Oscar-winning, $1 billion film office smash. Banshees of Inisherin, directed by Martin McDonagh and starring Gleeson and Colin Farrell, has its world premiere in Venice before making its North American debut in Toronto.
Many fans have speculated on how Phillips will continue to treat the characters in the sequel, but one thing is certain: there will be music. About the character Gleeson will portray in the movie, there are yet no concrete details. After playing Alastor Moody in the Harry Potter movie series, he garnered further international fame.
