Ahead of the Season 3 finale, Harley Quinn has been formally renewed for Season 4 on HBO Max. The exciting news was announced shortly after Warner Bros. Discovery reorganised its slate of original productions, which resulted in the cancellation of a number of film and television projects.

The DC adult animated series, which features Kaley Cuoco as the voice of Harley Quinn, follows the title character as she flees a destructive relationship with The Joker (voiced by Alan Tudyk) and must determine who she is on her own. The newest connection between Harley and Ivy (voiced by Lake Bell), the prettiest duo a bawdy and gory comedy could ever include, is now being explored in Season 3.

After three seasons, Harley Quinn has maintained its reputation as a critical success, but fans were worried about the show’s future because of the HBO Max purge orchestrated by Warner Bros. Discovery. Young Justice and other DC animated series were not renewed for subsequent seasons, while brand-new endeavours like Batman: Caped Crusader were utterly shelved before they even debuted. Even after the fourth season of the animated series was registered by Warner Bros. Animation, Harley Quinn’s future remained uncertain due to the company’s complete restructuring of its DC schedule around a 10-year plan. Fortunately for all of us, Harlivy’s upcoming Season 4 will continue to include some of DC’s most innovative storylines.

The series’ executive producers Halpern and Schumacker said, “We are ecstatic that HBO Max wants the story of Harley and Ivy to continue. And we are equally thrilled that this next season will be in great hands with Sarah Peters as our showrunner and Ceci Aranovich overseeing animation production, as they have both greatly influenced the show with their brilliance since the beginning.”

In addition, this season’s guest stars include Briana Cuoco as Barbara Gordon, nicknamed Batgirl, Diedrich Bader as Batman, Chris Meloni as Commissioner Gordon, Sanaa Lathan as Catwoman, and Harvey Guillén as Nightwing. Sarah Peters, a recurring writer on the programme, will serve as executive producer and showrunner for Season 4. Every Thursday, new episodes of Harley Quinn air on HBO Max. September 15 is the day set aside for the Season 3 finale. Season 4 is yet to have a release date, but the announcement comes with a new poster announcing the renewal.
