In a brand-new image from the Young Sheldon season 6 set, Raegan Revord, who plays Sheldon’s twin sister Missy Cooper, is given a new perspective. The Big Bang Theory spinoff gives Sheldon’s sister as well as the titular character plenty of attention. Young Sheldon, which is set in the early 1990s, depicts what it was like for a socially awkward genius to grow up in Texas before relocating to Pasadena and living there.

Only Missy has exhibited emotional maturity as the Coopers deal with the fallout from Georgie and Mandy’s unintended pregnancy, as she extended support to every member of her family who was in need. While it emphasised Missy’s positive traits, such as her close relationship with her older brother, it also effectively reduced her to the role of a supporting rather than starring character.

Missy has her own problems as well, particularly with how she manages peer pressure at school. And given that Young Sheldon season 6 is actively tackling this particular storyline line in the coming year, it appears that she may finally be returning to the foreground of her storytelling. Revord shares a brand-new image of Missy for Young Sheldon season 6 on her official Instagram account. Sheldon’s twin sister may be seen in the behind-the-scenes photo dressed for school and even holding a satchel. She verifies that they are actually filming a scenario in which Missy attends school in the caption.

Young Sheldon season 6 behind-the-scenes material has been meticulously shared by Revord. She shared a number of videos and pictures on social media in a recent update, one of which showed a Missy solo scene that was staged in her bedroom. This suggests that with a Missy-centric season 6 episode, she will once again be at the forefront of Young Sheldon’s plot after season 5 mostly relegated the character to a supporting role.

Hopefully the new year will finally show Missy not being controlled by her desire to please her ‘friends’ after all the fantastic moments she had toward the conclusion of season 5. Young Sheldon must acknowledge that by not giving Missy the full attention she deserves, it is underutilizing its best character.
