The Anime Series Romantic Killer Will Arrive on Netflix in October 2022

Romantic Killer

In October 2022, Netflix will release an exciting new romantic comedy anime series. Romantic Killer, based on Wataru Momose’s manga of the same name, is one of the first anime to be confirmed for Netflix this fall. Here’s everything we know so far about Netflix’s Romantic Killer. Romantic Killer is an upcoming Japanese Netflix Original romantic comedy anime series based on author Wataru Momose’s manga of the same name. Kazuya Ichikawa will direct the film adaptation of the award-winning manga.

Before starting its official serialisation in Shounen Jump+ on July 30th, 2019, the manga first debuted as a webcomic in LINE Manga Indies and other websites. There are 39 chapters and four volumes in the entire manga, so there might only be one season of adaptations.

What’s the Romantic Killer’s storyline?

Netflix provided this Romantic Killer plot summary:
Anzu Hoshino is a “non-heroine type” high school student who ignores romance and fashion in favour of playing video games all day. Anzu is compelled to take part in the Magical World’s project to reverse population decline when the wizard Riri suddenly appears. This romantic comedy explores what happens to Anzu when she is surrounded by attractive men instead of spending her life engrossed in her three passions—video games, chocolate, and cats. Anzu is steadfast in her claim that she never wanted to live in a dating simulation game. She meets a handsome guy who is so popular it hurts, a clean-cut and athletic childhood friend, and a beautiful rich young guy who is naive about the outside world. By meeting Anzu, they all begin to change gradually.

Who are the Romantic Killer cast members?

Romantic Killer currently only has two confirmed cast members: Mikako Komatsu has been cast as the wizard Riri’s voice, and Rie Takahashi is Anzu Hoshino.
Fans of some well-known isekai anime will be familiar with Rie Takahashi because she provides the voice for Emilia in RE: Zero and the Megumin in KonoSuba. Mikako Komatsu provides the voices of Maki Zenin in Jujutsu Kaisen, Senkuu in Dr. Stone, and Rebecca Bluegarden in Eden’s Zero.

When will Romantic Killer be available on Netflix?

We can confirm that Romantic Killer will be available to stream on Netflix on Thursday, October 27th, 2022, thanks to the release of the trailer.
