Three new images from Sex Education season 4 have been released, featuring Otis, Maeve, Ruby, and a new character played by Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy. Sex Education debuted on Netflix in 2019 and has since aired three seasons. It follows Otis (Asa Butterfield), the son of a sex therapist (Gillian Anderson), as he establishes his own sex therapy clinic at his high school. A lot has changed throughout the course of the show. Many new characters have arrived, and many have left, including Lily (Tanya Reynolds), Olivia (Simone Ashley), Emily (Rahkee Thakrar), and Ola (Patricia Allison), who will not be returning for season 4.

Season 4 of Sex Education will feature a significant change for the series. Otis and Eric (new Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa) must now attend Cavendish Sixth Form College due to the closure of Moordale Secondary. In addition to the new challenges presented by this completely different environment, he will have to contend with the fact that Maeve (Emma Mackey) is away in America at Wallace University, where she is being tutored by Levy’s cult author character Thomas Molloy.

The first is a glamour shot of Otis and Ruby posing on the back of a couch, followed by a shot of Maeve and Thomas at Wallace University, complete with a massive American flag to remind viewers how far away she is from home. The final image shows Dan Levy striking his best model pose with the show’s slate in celebration of his new role on the popular show. View the full-size images below:

Variety reports that Daniel Levy will play Thomas Molloy, a well-known author who serves as Maeve’s Ivy League college’s US course tutor. Otis and his best friend Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) will be seen attempting to settle in at a new college, Cavendish Sixth Form College, as Moordale Secondary closes.

According to the portal, there is daily yoga in the community garden, a strong emphasis on sustainability, and a group of kids who are well-known for being… kind? Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling) is still trying to move past Cal, and Viv (Chinenye Ezeudu) is completely baffled by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach (Dua Saleh). By enrolling in an art A Level, Aimee (Aimee-Lou Wood) tries something new, and Adam (Connor Swindells) questions whether traditional education is right for him.
