Lord of the Rings Elijah Wood Joins Yellowjackets Season 2

Elijah Wood who starred in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, has joined the Yellowjackets Season 2 cast and will play a season-long guest role. Wood is the newest cast member for the second season of the show, joining Obi-Wan Kenobi actress Simone Kessell and Servant and Six Feet Under actor Lauren Ambrose as the adult versions of the characters Lottie and Van from Season 1.

Wood will play Walter, a devoted Citizen Detective who will test Misty (Christina Ricci) in ways she won’t expect, in a season-long guest starring role. For Season 2, Courtney Eaton and Liv Hewson, who previously portrayed the teenage iterations of Lottie and Van, respectively, have been promoted to series regulars.

The Lord of the Rings film trilogy made Wood famous for his leading role as Frodo Baggins. He is also well-known for his leading performances in films including Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Faculty, Sin City, and The Faculty. Prior to this, he appeared in TV shows including “Wilfred” and “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.” The production business SpectreVision was established in 2010 by Wood, Daniel Noah, and Josh C. Waller.

Tawney Cypress, Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey, and Wood also appear in the cast. Hewson, Ella Purnell, Samantha Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sophie Nelisse are among the stars of the drama set in the 1990s. The sitcom was created by the husband-and-wife team of Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, who also act as showrunners alongside Jonathan Lisco. Production for season two is scheduled to start on August 30. There is no set time for returning.
