Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have been in the headlines for the past several months due to their ongoing defamation action in a Virginia court in Fairfax County (from April 11, 2022, to June 1, 2022). Heard’s 2018 op-ed about domestic abuse, in which she accused the Pirates of the Caribbean of assaulting and abusing her, served as the catalyst for the legal dispute between the ex-couple.

The Aquaman actress was ordered to pay the Fantastic Beasts actor millions in damages after various lawsuits, with the Fantastic Beasts actor mainly coming out on top. Since the publication of the op-ed, Johnny has had career setbacks, including losing his job as Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts film series and being dropped from the POTC film series, among other things.

In a recent interview with Insider, Evan Nierman discussed how the defamation case involving Johnny Depp and Amber Heard could impact both actors’ careers. The author of “Crisis Averted” and CEO of Red Banyan, a global PR firm, simply informed the magazine that it was extremely improbable that the Pirates of the Caribbean star would ever be jobless.

In spite of the horrible press Johnny Depp has gotten, Nierman said, he is still perpetually bankable. In order to cleanse his record, Johnny Depp put a lot of time, effort, and money into it, and it now appears to be paying off. Once his reputation has been restored, Johnny will soon be collecting lots of Hollywood checks from producers and studios who are eager to collaborate with him. Schiffer continued by predicting that Depp will return to the big screen in 2023.

Evan Nierman said in the same chat that it is unlikely that Amber Heard will find many Hollywood doors open as a result of her post-defamation trial loss. She took the decision to go public and dress in the #metoo flag, but the jury and the general public did not find her trustworthy, he claimed.

Eric Schiffer, though, believes it would be folly to write out the Aquaman actress just yet. Amber is appealing, and her lawyer is optimistic that she will continue in her profession and have possibilities, adding that if she is successful in her appeal, many more options will become available.
