Neve Campbell to star in ABC’s drama series Avalon

Neve Campbell will play the main character in the ABC drama series Avalon as reportedby Deadline. Campbell, novelist Michael Connelly, executive producer Ross Fineman, and David E. Kelley, who created the series with Connelly and will executive produce it, are working together once again on this.

Nic Searcy, the sheriff of Avalon and a former Los Angeles police officer with a strong moral compass, is followed in the series, which is based on Connelly’s original short tale. The small settlement on Catalina Island is a popular tourist attraction, however a visitor may disturb the town’s tranquilly. Sheriff Searcy will be challenged to reevaluate her assumptions about herself and Avalon as a result of this new presence, which will send her on a mission to unravel a mystery.

The horror film genre has been Campbell’s primary area of focus. She was Sidney Prescott, the last survivor, in the original Scream and its follow-up movies, which made her a household name. She played Bonnie Harper, a wounded youngster who became a witch in the 1996 film The Craft, and she played a crucial role in the film. Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, which also involved Fineman and A+E Studios, is another project Campbell worked on with Kelley, Connelly, and the other. She will also play a recurrent guest star in the second season of the show. In addition to executive producing Avalon, Kelley is also responsible for the pilot episode’s script.
