What We Know So Far About Netflix’s Enola Holmes 2

Enola Holmes 2

In November 2022, a follow-up to Enola Holmes will premiere on Netflix, with Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill reprising their respective roles. Here is all the information we currently have about Enola Holmes 2. Harry Bradbeer’s first movie, which was initially slated to hit theatres, was instead released on Netflix in September 2020. The pandemic allowed Warner Brothers to sell Netflix the film’s rights, and the rest is history.
With an estimated 76 million households watching in the first 28 days of release, Enola Holmes is currently the seventh-most-watched English-language film on Netflix. The film soared to the top of the top 10 charts and spent 20 days in the US top 10, but it also performed well internationally.

Who is behind the sequel to Enola Holmes?

The film’s production team will be largely the same as that of the first film.
Harry Bradbeer, who directed the multi-award-winning Fleabag (which, like Enola Holmes, constantly broke the fourth wall), will return to direct the sequel. Bradbeer is also currently working on a first-look deal with Amazon.
Similarly, Jack Thorne returns to adapt the script for the sequel from the Nancy Springer novels. Thorne is also on the sequel’s executive producer list. Producers include Micahel Dreyer, Ali Mendes, Paige Brown, Alex Garcia, Joshua Grode, and Mary Parent.

Who will play Enola Holmes in Enola Holmes 2?

Only the two main actors in the upcoming film have been confirmed as cast members so far. Only Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill were specified as returning to their respective roles as Enola and Sherlock in the initial sequel announcement. Louis Partridge’s return for the sequel was confirmed in a second announcement made at Netflix’s TUDUM event.
The following new cast members were then announced by Netflix on September 28th:

Helena Bonham Carter (Enola Holmes)
David Thewlis
Susan Wokoma (Enola Holmes)
Adeel Akhtar (Sweet Tooth)
Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Dune)
Hannah Dodd (Harlots)
Abbie Hern (The Pact)
Gabriel Tierney (Endeavour)
Serrana Su-Ling Bliss
Laurence Ellerker

Louis Partridge, who portrayed Enola’s sidekick Tewkesbury, is rumoured to be returning but hasn’t been officially confirmed (thanks to a cryptic wink on Millie Bobby Brown’s Instagram post for the announcement).

Where is Enola Holmes 2 being made?

According to The Knowledge, “Enola Holmes 2 is using a major south-east studio as its production base,” which is expected to be Shepperton Studios in the United Kingdom. According to Hull Live, on October 5th and 6th, the high street in Hull, UK will be “transformed into Victorian London.” They also state that “the production company has also stated that they are recruiting for extras to appear as passers-by dressed in Victorian dress to appear in the film, and will be putting up advertisements for recruitment soon.” Filming for the sequel is also said to be taking place in London, as it did for the first film.

When will Enola Holmes 2 be available on Netflix?

Enola Holmes 2 will be released on Friday, November 4th, 2022, according to Netflix’s social media platforms.
