Season 5 of Stranger Things won’t be available on Netflix until August 2022.
We haven’t gotten over the feature-length finale of Stranger Things season 4 part 2 yet, and it has been over a month since it was released on Netflix. We left off on such a satisfying cliffhanger. When Stranger Things season 5 premieres, the Hawkins heroes will undoubtedly have their work cut out for them. Unfortunately, in August 2022, we won’t be getting the fifth season. So when will the last season be released?
Season 5’s release date is not yet decided. Actor David Harbour expects that the last season will premiere at that time as well, for what it’s worth. Due to the fact that they will be concluding their writing this year, they must be ready and do other things.” According to his statement, he had intended to start filming this year, but it is more probable that he would do it the next year.
Nearly every season of Stranger Things concluded with the Demogorgon slain and all of the adventures in Hawkins neatly wound up, with the exception of a tease at some type of darkness lurking, but the conclusion to Season 4 couldn’t have been more unexpected. There is already a gap between Hawkins and the Upside Down, and it appears that it will not be long until darkness from the other realm begins to infiltrate our own (and other Hawkins residents realize that was no Indiana earthquake). In essence, it appears like Vecna, the Mindflayer, and whatever else is lurking in the Upside Down will engage Eleven in the final showdown (along with the help of her friends). Although the specifics of how it will all play out are uncertain, it appears inevitable.
We don’t yet have a firm release date. Season 5 hasn’t even begun filming yet. However, the Duffer Brothers remained active throughout the epidemic and wrote the season finale’s plot summary. They are aware of how they want the Netflix sensation to finish. The fourth and fifth seasons were supposed to be filmed back-to-back, but the pandemic ruined those plans. We could have seen the previous season much sooner if this had happened. Additionally, the children simply keep getting taller! They can’t really afford to wait three more years for the next season.
Fans have been reassured by the Duffers that the wait for season 5 won’t be as long, though. That doesn’t imply, though, that it won’t be at least a year until our favorite science fiction series is back. Depending on when production resumes, I’d estimate that Stranger Things won’t return until the end of 2023 or early in 2024.
