In addition to serving as the Infinity Saga’s last chapter, Spider-Man: Far From Home served as the foundation for some of the Multiverse Saga’s major early films and television programmes. After the Skrull leader Talos announced that he was on Earth, the post-credits sequence from that sequel laid the framework for Secret Invasion, which will now be Phase 5’s first Disney+ show.

Talos will now rejoin Nick Fury, his “partner” in Captain Marvel, as the two discover what the Skrulls are doing on Earth and how they have assimilated to complete their secret objective.

Fans will see several effects of the Far From Home post-credits sequence, which sent Nick Fury away from Earth for at least a year and created a world where it is impossible to tell who is a friend and who is an enemy.

The surprise in the post-credits scene not only raised the question of Nick Fury’s whereabouts in the cosmos but also that of Maria Hill, whose simulacrum by Talos’ wife, Soren, helped Peter Parker fight Quentin Beck/Mysterio.

Cobie Smulders is now reprising her role as Hill in Secret Invasion, and she just gave fans a sneak peek at how they might anticipate seeing her make her first Phase 5 appearance.

Cobie Smulders, who plays Cobie in Secret Invasion, discussed in-depth the footage from the programme that was shown at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 in an interview with Brandon Davis of the Phase Zero Podcast.

Smulders also delved into the strained bond that has existed between Nick Fury and Hill since their last encounter in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Hill’s confidence has greatly increased since she is now largely independent, but she also observes how difficult things are for Fury when they reconcile.

Smulders considered her involvement with the series over the course of a decade, beginning with 2012’s The Avengers.

She concluded by reflecting on Fury’s lengthy relationship with the Skrulls, his sense of obligation to them, and how this causes things to get incredibly convoluted. Fury has a tangled past with the Skrulls.
