Euphoria is at the forefront of exposing the dark side of teenage culture, even to the expectations of cutting-edge high school television series. Although very few students even bother to carry things like notebooks or book bags to school, the location in a high school serves as one of the series’ primary identifiers and has proven to be a strong point throughout the run.

Zendaya, the series’ actress and executive producer, made a hint that the third season would completely omit the high school setting in favor of following the characters outside of its walls in a subsequent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Zendaya responded, “I think it’ll be great to develop the characters outside of high school,” when asked about her ambitions for the third season. She proceeded by expressing her expectations for Rue, who spent the previous season in an emotional rut after failing yet another attempt at recovery.

However, she continued to speculate about the future of other characters as well, stating that “…with all the characters, in the sense that they’re trying to determine out what to what they want to do with their lives after high school and what kind of persons they want to become.”She said that this season was special in that it enabled a much deeper investigation of the different characters.

I believe we can repeat it in the 3rd season, she said. Because there is so much potential, it is important to ensure that everyone gets the opportunity to use it. Indeed, Euphoria has shown to be a talent hotspot. Numerous budding talents in the business have been featured in the series, including Maude Apatow, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi.

In light of the possibility that the heir season won’t be available until 2024, a leap in the timeframe only makes sense for that season. Additionally, a time jump may allow the show to more thoroughly examine its characters and the effects of their choices from the previous two seasons, as Zendaya herself suggested.
