The lead actor of the popular show Better Call Saul, Bob Odenkirk, spoke out about his preparations for the viewing of the final episode as the series finale of its sixth season approaches. The show has received a lot of praise from critics and has been nominated for several Emmys this year.

Better Call Saul is a spin-off of the renowned AMC television show Breaking Bad and centres on the story of Saul Goodman, who is portrayed by Bob Odenkirk. Odenkirk told People at the Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards on Saturday about his intentions for the final day of the show’s airing. The actor said that the group has agreed to make it an occasion. He said, “We’re going to get together as a cast at somebody’s house and watch the episode. And then we’re going to cry.”

The 59-year-old actor also mentioned that the cast’s connection and chemistry was a big part of the show’s success. He said, “Rhea Seehorn, Michael McKean, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando: This core group of actors are the best friends.” He continued, “We’re going to miss each other awfully.” He also remarked on the “unbelievably joy” he experienced while working with the legendary Carol Burnett on the show’s last season, when Burnett appeared as a guest role. “She’s got chops in every direction, obviously,” he said of Burnett.

He went on to praise the actress, “And she’s gotten to show them yet again on Better Call Saul with her drama. And she’s so heartbreaking. She’s beautiful and heartbreaking and true and deep and fun and fun to be around. It was one of the heights of my career to be with her.”
