In mid-August 2022, Netflix will add more Bo Burnham. On August 11th, 2022, Netflix will release “extra” video from his 2021 special, Bo Burnham: Inside. The special, titled Bo Burnham: The Inside Outtakes, “delivers an extra hour of unused material, cut songs, and behind-the-scenes video from his Emmy-winning musical comedic masterwork.”
Bo Burnham: Inside, as you may remember, was a COVID-19 period comedy special created, written, directed, and starring Bo Burnham. The Netflix special premiered on May 30th, 2021, but was predominantly recorded in 2020, and it comprised musical numbers and sketches primarily about his failing mental health throughout the pandemic.

Hit songs from the special included That Funny Feeling, Content, Bezos, Welcome to the Internet, and others. A total of 6 Emmy nominations were made for the show, and it ended up winning 3 of them, including directing, writing, and music direction for a variety special.
It’s important to note that the outtake special that will be available on Netflix on August 11 is the same one that Bo Burnham uploaded to his YouTube channel on May 31st, 2022, and that has since received around 6 million views.

On the anniversary of the film’s debut on Netflix, it was uploaded to YouTube, and a deluxe CD named Inside was also released (Deluxe). The arrival of new material for Netflix stand-up specials is not unprecedented. Tamborine, an expanded rendition of Chris Rock’s spectacular, has garnered the most attention to date.
We should also point out that last week, What, a beloved Netflix original special by Bo Burnham, was re-added in numerous territories.
