Untold, a sports docuseries on Netflix, will return for Season 2 at the end of this month. The series will once again revolve on a different issue in each episode and will feature brutally honest interviews with persons from the sports world who were involved in high-profile and disturbing situations. Mardy Fish, Caitlyn Jenner, Christy Martin, and James Galante appeared in Season 1.
The first episode, titled “Operation Flagrant Foul,” will focus on NBA referee Tim Donaghy, who found himself in the spotlight after it was uncovered that he was running a scam in which he gambled on his own games. Donaghy says in the teaser for the season debut that he “f—”ed up his life.
The episode will also feature other people who were engaged in the tales to speak up because guilty people sometimes try to avoid taking responsibility. This will help viewers determine what is true and what is not. Of course, it’s quite simple to get to the bottom of this specific tale with such a major subject that even implicated the FBI, but it’s always best to hear a version directly from the person who lived at the centre of a scandal. Who can predict what they would say?
The new slate of short-form documentaries from Untold, which releases new episodes every week, has officially begun. Back in 2021, Netflix made known that one of the Season 2 episodes would be a two-parter on NFL linebacker Manti Te’o, who fell victim to catfishing and ended up in a relationship with a woman who was purportedly battling illness. The two-parter will include interviews with both the athlete in question and the person who catfished him, just like the other episodes in the series.
On August 30, Netflix will release the first episode of Untold’s second season. The “Operation Flagrant Foul” trailer and synopsis may be seen below:
