Charlie Cox’s career as a Marvel superhero appeared to be coming to an end when Daredevil was cancelled after three seasons on Netflix, where he had previously played Matt Murdock. Even though the series made references to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there was never a crossover, raising questions over whether the events of the series were canon.

The first formal appearance of Daredevil in the MCU was made by Cox in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which came as a great surprise to viewers from Marvel Studios. Charlie Cox will now play Daredevil once more in the upcoming She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Disney+ series. Daredevil and his new outfit for the Marvel Cinematic Universe were briefly shown in a new trailer for the series that was shown for the event last month at San Diego Comic-Con.

Disney has surprised fans by releasing a number of official photos from She-Hulk, one of which offers our finest glimpse at Cox’s Daredevil in the MCU to far. The pictures were posted on Saturday with the phrase “#SheHulk: Attorney at Law is full of surprises” on the series’ official Twitter account. The image preview for the post uses four images to create one image, which is the show’s logo in this case.

However, clicking on each image reveals a glimpse at some of the characters, including Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Abomination. The post is in the style of a common Twitter meme. However, clicking on the fourth image displays two alternative perspectives of Daredevil. The character is barely noticeable in the first image, which shows him perched atop a car. However, the bottom image shows a close-up of the superhero. His outfit appears to be modelled by the one from the Netflix-produced Daredevil television series. The main distinction appears to be the helmet’s golden-yellow coloration, which is reminiscent of Daredevil Yellow by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale and the yellow and black outfit Daredevil wore in the comics.

More of the suit’s elements can be seen in the latest image from Cox’s Daredevil comeback in She-Hulk. There are just minor alterations between this and what Matt Murdock previously wore, so people who are familiar with the Netflix show will notice that the design is extremely similar. The suit’s material appears to have changed slightly, suggesting that Daredevil’s MCU outfit has more leather than usual. Although the yellow on the shoulders and helmet is a new feature, the design of the suit itself is pretty similar to that which some viewers may already be accustomed to.

It’s possible that the somewhat altered outfit Daredevil wears in She-Hulk foreshadows how Marvel Studios may address the consistency issues. The recently announced Daredevil: Born Again Disney+ series may be where the truth about what is and is not a part of Daredevil’s MCU past is finally exposed. Even then, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law will probably have an impact on future events.
