The thirteenth season trailer for FX’s Archer has been released. The world’s greatest spy, Sterling Archer, will be back in the adult animated comedy series, which will also depict how the team is adjusting to a leadership void at the very top of the organisation. How the cast will pay tribute to Malory’s legacy is hinted at in the latest Archer season 13 trailer.

Since its debut in 2009, the show has won numerous accolades, including an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program in 2016. H. Jon Benjamin, Judy Greer, Aisha Tyler, Amber Nash, Chris Parnell, Lucky Yates, and the late Jessica Walter all lend their voices to the animated series Archer. The new season of Archer will premiere on August 24 on FX before streaming on Hulu the next day.

The latest Archer season 13 trailer was released by FX Networks. It highlights the team’s current situation and demonstrates how the show is handling Walter’s absence from the role of Malory Archer after she passed away in 2021. The team is competing to win the Agency Skills Competition while arguing about who should be the team leader after The Agency is acquired by new corporate rulers, the International Intelligence Agency, as seen in the teaser. Even though Malory isn’t shown in the video, Archer gives viewers an idea of how the show will develop.

Jessica Walter, who sadly died away last year, provided the voice of the character Malory. While she is away, Archer observes that he is now formally in charge of himself and is free to do whatever he wants, even refusing to assist with missions. In the clip, Archer is plagued by a desire to carry on his mother’s heritage, a desire that seems to drag him down considerably.

Archer no longer cares about being the responsible one because he already has to deal with the burden of his mother’s legacy. The conversations that are being made throughout the clip have a lighthearted air to them, but there is also a suggestion of an underlying feeling for the upcoming season as the show continues to honour Walter and the leadership void she left behind. It appears to be one that won’t be readily filled.
