Kim Da-mi and Park Hae-soo will star in the Netflix film The Deluge

Netflix announced on Tuesday that the South Korean disaster science fiction film “The Deluge”  will star Korean actress Kim Da-mi and actor Park Hae-soo. The catastrophic science fiction blockbuster film will depict the final day on Earth after the deluge, with protagonists stranded in a flooding apartment complex fighting for survival.
Anna, an Artificial Intelligence researcher who tries to survive the overwhelming hail, will be played by actress Kim Da-mi. Actor Park Hae-soo will play Hui-jo, a member of the human resources security squad ordered to rescue Anna.

“Deluge” is a doomsday thriller set on the last day of Earth after a massive flood destroys the globe. Kim will portray Anna, an artificial intelligence researcher who is dragged into the flood and must struggle for her life, while Park will play Hee-jo, a security guard who tries to save Anna.

Park is well recognised for his appearances in “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” and “Squid Game” (2021) on Netflix (2022). Prior to “Squid Game,” Park primarily worked in theatre and rose to fame for his role in the drama series “Prison Playbook” on tvN. (2017-18). The actor has starred in “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations” on Netflix (2022). Park’s performance in “Squid Game” earned him his first Emmy nomination for supporting actor in a television series earlier this month.
In the action-mystery movie “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion,” Kim made her acting debut as the title character (2018). She then gained notoriety and appeared in drama series including “Our Beloved Summer” and “Itaewon Class” (2020). (2021-22).

The production of “The Deluge” will be directed by Kim Byung-woo, who also directed “PMC: The Bunker” in 2018 and “The Terror Live” in 2013.
