The popular Netflix series Virgin River takes us inside the tumultuous romance in the small town between Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson). We followed their romance over the course of the first four seasons as we got to know the other residents of the town, and it has developed into the kind of series that viewers can’t miss the moment it premieres on the streaming service. Although Season 4 was released earlier this month, the show is eager to continue, and it appears that Season 5 has already started to shoot.
Ben Hollingsworth, who plays Brady on the show, uploaded some photos of himself riding a motorcycle on Instagram “first day of Season 5. Let’s go, everyone! #VirginRiver #Netflix” giving fans the information they need about the small town of Virgin River. The series has been a constant twist and turn for all the characters outside of Mel and Jack’s relationship with constant love stories keeping the series moving forward as well as mysteries that have fans coming back.
Brady’s struggle with his imprisonment for attempting to kill Jack in earlier seasons was a significant aspect of the drama in Season 4 aside from Mel and Jack’s child. The show is full of unique twists and turns in Jack and Mel’s life. However, there is a tonne of drama in Season 5.
Patrick Sean Smith, the new showrunner, gave a candid explanation of the series’ direction. He said in an interview with TVLine, “There is a lot going on, and it took me a while to get my head around what [the characters have] all been through, where they’re heading and where I’d like them to go. I wanted it to be as seamless as possible.”
He also disclosed that Season 5 continues off where Season 4 left off. He explained, “Season 5 picks up right after season 4.” “Four and five don’t happen at different times.” At the conclusion of Season 4, we were left with more questions than answers, Mel and Jack had finally gotten engaged, the paternity of Jack’s alleged twins was still up in the air, and there were still others, but since production on Season 5 has already begun with the cast and crew, hopefully we’ll find out the answers soon.
