In August 2022, two brand-new The Witcher supplemental documentaries will debut on Netflix. On August 23, 2022, all regions of Netflix will receive both of the new titles.
They are both Bestiary documentaries that explore which monsters were included, their origins, and what makes them such fearsome adversaries in the world of The Witcher.
Two Bestiary specials have already been released on Netflix. The Witcher Bestiary Part 1 was the first, and it covered Kikimora and the Striga. Dragons, basilisks, and other animals were covered in Part 2. Each lasted for about ten minutes. The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, an anime movie that will be released in 2021, has a Bestiary as its first supplementary film.

The second documentary explores all of the monsters you saw in The Witcher season 2 and serves as a companion piece. The document’s description is as follows:
“Explore the roots of the beasties roaming Season 2 of The Witcher, from blood-hungry bruxa to forest-dwelling leshy, from wyverns to the Wild Hunt.”
These documentaries will be included in The World of Witcher collection within the Netflix app, along with a plethora of other companion documentaries, the main series, and movies.

Of course, The Witcher: Blood Origin, which we’ve heard would debut in December 2022, will be the major new Witcher release for Netflix in 2022.
Season 3 of The Witcher is still being filmed elsewhere, albeit production has lately been put on hold because Henry Cavill has COVID-19. The Witcher season 3 has no definite release date.
