Everything You Need to Know About Netflix’s Lost Ollie Series

One of our most eagerly awaited Netflix releases for the entire year of 2022 is the live-action/animated limited series Lost Ollie, which is scheduled to premiere in August 2022. This revised guide will tell you all you need to know about Lost Ollie before it launches on Netflix worldwide on August 24, 2022.
Shannon Tindle, a designer on Coraline and the author of the stop-motion fantasy film Kubo and the Two Strings, will adapt the book into a television series. Additionally, Tindle is presently developing a Netflix original Ultraman movie that was first teased in May 2021.

Peter Ramsey, who is best known for directing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to acclaim from both critics and audiences, will also be in charge of directing Lost Ollie. Industrial Lights & Magic, who most recently worked on the Disney+ blockbuster series The Mandalorian, will develop the CGI characters for Lost Ollie. Shawn Levy, Emily Morris, and Josh Barry, producers of Stranger Things, along with 21 Laps Entertainment and Oscar-winning designer Brandon Oldenbrook, will executive produce Netflix’s Lost Ollie.

Who is in the Lost Ollie cast?

The cast roster for Lost Ollie on Netflix, along with character profiles, was released in March 2021.
Ollie is a handmade toy rabbit that was pieced together from scraps, and Jonathan Groff, famed for his roles in Mindhunter, Hamilton, and Frozen, will provide the voice for Ollie. Ollie never ruins an opportunity to make friends since he has a pure spirit and a heart of gold. He and Billy have always been best friends, but one day he finds himself in a secondhand store without a way to get home. Ollie puts on a brave front even though he is frequently terrified of the new and sets out to find Billy, encountering other toys that can assist him.

Rosy, a raggedy teddy bear sewn together from different toys, will be voiced by Oscar nominee Mary J. Blige (The Umbrella Academy, Mudbound). Rosy is a strong warrior who exudes confidence while being immensely passionate. While they are first sceptical of Ollie, she soon becomes a vital ally as she joins them on their adventure.

Zozo, a clown doll who is both an old toy and an even older spirit, will be voiced by Tim Blake Nelson (Watchmen, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs). Zozo, a genuine gentleman with a sense of humour, decides to assist Ollie in his quest after meeting him and learning about his situation.
Gina Rodriguez, a Golden Globe winner for her work on Jane the Virgin and Carmen Sandiego, will play Momma. Sharon, Billy’s loving mother, encourages her kid to use his imagination and be creative. She values their time together and imparts to Billy the knowledge he will require to live a happy life in the future.

The role of Daddy will be played by Jake Johnson (Jurassic World, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse). James, Billy’s father, is overworked and under pressure while also trying to care for Billy and his wife Sharon. Although he sometimes snaps at Billy because of his stress, he is doing everything in his power to give his son a happy childhood.
Billy, a young boy with a creative mind filled with ideas, will be portrayed by Kesler Talbot (Deliver by Christmas). His lovely mother built him a handcrafted rabbit toy, Ollie, and he has a special affinity with Ollie. Ollie goes on all of his travels with him. Billy sets off on a search quest to find Ollie when he gets lost.

What is the current status of Lost Ollie Season 1 production?

According to Deadline, the first season of Netflix’s Lost Ollie will consist of four 45-minute episodes. On February 1st, 2021, Netflix’s Lost Ollie began production in Vancouver, Canada, and one of the settings includes a school with a phoney playground: According to multiple production sources, filming lasted only a month and ended on March 18th, 2022.
