Will Smith slapped Chris Rock in March while watching the 2022 Oscars. Chris recounted the incident and said he wasn’t the victim during his most recent stand-up comedy performance in New Jersey. Recently, Kevin Hart and comedian Chris Rock gave a show at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. Chris made light of Will Smith slapping him earlier this year at the Oscars during the performance. Chris referred to Will as Suge Smith and asserted that he is not the victim.

US Weekly reported that Chris made jokes during the performance. He said, “Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face. Chris said, “I’m not a victim, mother—–r. Yeah, that sh-t hurt, mother—–r. But I shook that sh– off and went to work the next day. I don’t go to the hospital for a papercut.”

Chris Rock and Will Smith are good friends of Kevin Hart’s, and earlier this month, Kevin Hart expressed his wish that both of them will “get past” the violent incident that took place. He added, “I still love him, I still love Chris, and, you know, you can’t judge a person by one thing. Ultimately, life goes on and people grow, so give him the opportunity to do so.”

After Chris joked about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head in March at the Oscars 2022, Will stepped out to the stage and hit him. Chris had joked, “Jada, can’t wait for GI Jane 2,” in reference to Demi Moore’s 1997 movie GI Jane, in which Jordan O’Neil, a Navy Seal recruit, shaved her head. A few years ago, Jada disclosed on her talk programme that she decided to shave her head after learning she had the autoimmune disease alopecia areata. Will was prohibited from going to any Academy Award ceremony for the following ten years after the incident. The actor was punished following his resignation from the academy.
