The eagerly awaited Vikings: Valhalla sequel to MGM’s Vikings debuted on Netflix in early 2022, and there will be more in 2023. Given that season 2 of the programme has already begun filming, here is an updated list of everything we currently know about Vikings: Valhalla season 2 on Netflix.
Michael Hirst’s historical drama Vikings: Valhalla, a Netflix Original, is a prequel to the iconic Vikings History Channel series. Like its predecessor, which had six seasons, this one is made by MGM Productions.

What is the status of Vikings: Valhalla season 2 production?

Jeb Stuart revealed that he was “finishing the editing of the last episode of season two” around the time season one was released. That means the show will be finished for about a year before it is released.
Season 3 production is also underway. Netflix confirmed the second and third seasons, stating that filming would begin in Spring 2022. We’ve learnt that they’ll be preparing during April in order to begin filming in May 2022. Jeb Stuart told DigitalSpy that season 3 is “extremely exciting” and that “my Vikings get out of Scandinavia, so we have plenty of amazing shocks.”

Beyond a general 2023 release date, Netflix has not confirmed a precise release date for Vikings: Valhalla season 2.
