Alan Tudyk’s Syfy sitcom Resident Alien has been given a third season renewal. Resident Alien, which is based on the same-named Dark Horse comics series, features an alien crash-landing whose covert goal is to eliminate all humans. When it debuted on Syfy in 2021, the UCP-produced Resident Alien was a ratings smash, and it still is today. The one-hour comedy-drama is among the top 15 cable programmes and top five dramas this year in terms of viewership.

When Resident Alien season 1 debuted on the channel in 2021, it immediately became a hit and has been popular ever since. Harry is still on Earth in season 2 and is dealing with the repercussions of failing his assignment. The stunning action Asta did to save Harry’s life will be the catalyst for how the second half of the season picks up.

Harry is once more stranded on Earth in season two, where he must deal with the repercussions of having failed his people’s objective to wipe off the human race. After the unexpected move Asta (Sara Tomko) did to save Harry’s life, the second half of Season 2 picks up right after. They must deal with the emotional aftereffects of the previous evening while also looking for the alien infant, which results in major epiphanies for each of them.

While D’arcy (Alice Wetterlund) faces the challenge of a lifetime, Ben (Levi Fiehler) and Kate (Meredith Garrettson) try to sell Patience on a new resort, and Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) investigate a significant case. Judah Prehn is a series regular as well. The Alien Tracker, played by Terry O’Quinn, also makes a comeback in the Season 2B trailer and comes up in town to meet Liv. The deputy hopes the Tracker can assist her in demonstrating to the town that UFOs are real.

Chris Sheridan, the executive producer, worked with Amblin TV, Dark Horse Entertainment, and UCP, a branch of Universal Studio Group, to adapt Resident Alien for television. Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank of Amblin TV, Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment, and others serve as executive producers.
