A Whisker Away producer Studio Colorido is currently working on the highly anticipated new anime film Drifting Home for Netflix. A new Japanese anime film titled Drifting Home will be available on Netflix. It was written and directed by Hiroyasu Ishida. While Mori is known for working on well-known anime titles like Cells at Work! and Code Black, Ishida is known for his work on Penguin Highway and Fumiko’s Confession. After A Whisker Away and Penguin Highway, Drifting Home will be the third film that Studio Colorido has created.
What is the story of Drifting Home about?
On a hot summer day, Kosuke and his pals go to an abandoned apartment building that is about to be demolished, but they find themselves at the centre of a weird phenomenon. Kosuke and his buddies must find their way home after being besieged by an unending ocean.
Who are the Drifting Home cast members?
The voice of Natume Tonai is provided by Asami Seto, who is also known for playing Raphtalia in The Rising of the Shield Hero and Mai Sakurajima in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.
Since 2007, Mutsumi Tamura has provided the voice for Kakashi Hatake as well as Kobayashi and Hirotaka Nifuji in the animated film Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku.
Reina Haba has been portrayed by Inori Minase, one of the most known voices in anime. Minase has contributed her vocal talents to a variety of anime roles, but she is adored in particular for her portrayals of the goddess Hestia in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up a Girls in a Dungeon, Rem in RE: Zero, and Nino Nakano in Quintessential Quintuplets.
The voice of Juri Andou is provided by Kana Hanazawa, another well-known and active actor. Kanade Tachibana in Angel Beats, Mayuri Shiina in Steins; Gate 0; Kosaki Onodera in Nisekoi, among many others, are all voiced by Hanazawa.

The release of the second official teaser confirms that Drifting Home will be accessible on Netflix on Friday, September 16th, 2022.
