Virgin River, which debuted on Netflix in December 2019, has quietly become one of the streaming service’s unexpected hits, with fans all over the world enjoying the romantic drama starring Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Colin Lawrence, and Jenny Cooper.
Season 4 of Virgin River will premiere on Netflix worldwide on July 20th, 2022, with Mel continuing her pregnancy, Hope recovering from her car accident, and Brie attempting to prove her lover’s innocence.
For those who are unaware, Virgin River was renewed for two seasons after season three. Season 4 had yet to be revealed, but we had already learned that filming had begun.
Despite not capturing all of the headlines, the show has been a huge success for Netflix. When it was in the top 10, the show received 333.92 million hours watched globally, according to Netflix’s top 10 hourly numbers.
Season 3 spent six weeks in the global top ten after its premiere, accumulating 225.12 million hours watched internationally between July 4th and August 15th, 2021.
Is Virgin River season 5 currently in production?
After that, it was put off until July 2022, though even those dates were flexible and did change. The delay’s cause was unknown, but Alexandra Breckenridge was eager to shoot in the summer because she claimed that shooting in Vancouver in the winter wasn’t that much fun.
We can confirm that beginning on July 18th, 2022, filming will take place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and will continue through November 10th, 2022. The most important information in that Instagram post is that Patrick Sean Smith will take over as showrunner from Sue Tenney.

When will Virgin River Season 5 be available on Netflix?
Season 5’s release date is unknown because production is still in its early stages. Having said that, based on previous years’ production timetables and release dates, the show should be available on Netflix within 6-7 months. It’s reasonable to say that the show will return in 2023.
Given that production is set to wrap in November 2022, season 5 of Virgin River might be on Netflix as early as summer 2023.
