In the upcoming second and final season of Showtime’s Your Honor, Rosie Perez will co-star with Bryan Cranston in a significant recurring role. The second season of the series was renewed in August 2022. The series first premiered in December 2020 and immediately gained popularity with 6.6 million weekly viewers. Although the series was realeased as a limited series, however due to its immense success, Showtime renewed it for a 10-episode second season in August 2021.

The actor will play Olivia Delmont, an assistant US attorney who hooks up with a reluctance cooperating witness to bring down a criminal organisation in New Orleans. Along with Perez’s appointment, Andrene Ward-Hammond was promoted to series regular for the upcoming season. Hammond had a recurring appearance as a character named Big Mo in the first season.

Your Honor is a 2017 Israeli television series Kvodo adaption. The series was picked up for a second season of 10 episodes after having the most profitable debut season in Showtime’s history. Actor Bryan Cranston plays Michael Desiato, a New Orleans judge whose adolescent son’s involvement in a hit-and-run results in “a high-stakes game of deception, treachery, and hard decisions.” Bryan Cranston will reprise his role.

Cranston recently broke the sad news that the forthcoming season will be the final. Speaking on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Bryan Cranston said the reason the show was ending was because it was always meant to be a “limited” series, meaning Michael Desiato’s story had a predetermined conclusion from the beginning.

Cranston revealed, “I am preparing for the second and last season of Your Honor, which is a limited series that I did for Showtime. As they tell me, it got higher ratings than any other series they’ve ever had and so, one more season of that.” On the other hand, another showrunner change has apparently occurred for Your Honor, with Season 1 writer Joey Hartstone taking over after Peter Moffat decided not to return to the role.

Perez previously costarred with Kaley Cuoco in the HBO Max series The Flight Attendant as Megan Briscoe. Maya and the Three and the Netflix spinoff of Big Mouth, Human Resources, are some other recent TV appearances. The parts Perez played in movies like Do the Right Thing, White Men Can’t Jump, and Birds of Prey, however, are undoubtedly what made her most well-known.

Along with Michael Stuhlbarg from Call Me By Your Name, Hope Davis Carmen Ejogo, Hunter Doohan, Sofia Black-D’Elia, Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Keith Machekanyanga are also featured in the cast. Along with executive producing it, Robert and Michelle King also star in the series.
