Gutsy: Apple TV+ has announced a premiere date for its docuseries that follows Hillary Clinton and daughter Chelsea Clinton

Hillary and Chelsea Clinton

Gutsy, a documentary series for Apple TV+ that follows Hillary Clinton and her daughter Chelsea Clinton on a quest to honour the women who inspire them, will release on September 9 at 8 p.m. The eight-part series, which is based on the Clintons’ best-selling book The Book of Gutsy Women, includes private interviews with some of the Clintons’ idols: fearless, tenacious women who have changed their society and the world.

Kim Kardashian, Megan Thee Stallion, Gloria Steinem, Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson, and many others are among the subjects. The project, which was originally dubbed Gutsy Women, was ordered straight to series in late 2020 and centres on what it means to have guts.

According to the plot summary, the show portrays the former secretary of state, former senator, and former first daughter in a way that most people haven’t seen them before, revealing their special mother-daughter relationship and the distinct, multigenerational approach they take to the significant and timely issues highlighted in each episode.

Gusty is executive produced by Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, Johnny Webb, Siobhan Sinnerton, Roma Khanna, Ken Druckerman, Banks Tarver, and showrunner Anna Chai. It is made by the Clintons’ HiddenLight Productions in collaboration with Left/Right LLC. The producers are Kevin Vargas and Claire Featherstone, with Huma Abedin and Bari Lurie serving as consulting producers.
