Inside Man, a very ambitious limited series from Steven Moffat, best known for Sherlock and Doctor Who, is being produced by Netflix in collaboration with the BBC. Filming wrapped in September 2021, and following a lengthy post-production period, we now await the BBC and Netflix release dates.
Paul McGuigan, who directed Sherlock and Lucky Number Slevin and was nominated for an Emmy for his work on Sherlock, will direct this ambitious limited series. Moffat’s collaborator and wife Sue Vertue, BBC’s Ben Irving, and Netflix’s Chris Sussman will also produce. Sussman called the story “fiendishly smart,” while Piers Wenger, Controller of BBC Drama, said that the writing and cast will create “television magic.”

Who is in the Inside Man cast?
Inside Man on Netflix, which is also known for having a superb and all-star cast, will stand out to viewers amid other shows.
The major lead will be played by Stanley Tucci, a Golden Globe and Oscar candidate. The Lovely Bones, Spotlight, Supernova, The Hunger Games, and many other films have made Tucci a household name.
David Tennant, who is well-known for many of his classic TV performances in Doctor Who, Broadchurch, Jessica Jones, and other shows, will be joining Tucci. Dolly Wells (Dracula, The Pursuit of Love) and Lydia West (Dracula, It’s a Sin) will also be a part of the Inside Man cast.
When will Netflix release Inside Man?
On June 7th, series director Paul McGuigan tweeted that either filming or post-production on Inside Man has concluded.
Inside Man’s premiere date has not been announced by Netflix or the BBC, although we anticipate it will be in late 2022 or early 2023. Because the series is a collaboration between the BBC and Netflix, it may take some time before it becomes available on Netflix UK.
