After passing eight long months after Billy’s death as he sacrificed himself to save others including Eleven from Mind Flayer at the Starcourt Mall, in Season 3. In Season 4 of The Stanger Things which was streamed on Netflix on May 27, 2022, we saw Sadie Sink’s Max Mayfield managing the trauma of her abusive stepbrother and mourning from PTSD. Vecna who was already targeting people struggling with trauma and attempts to enter their minds find Max Mayfield as his prime target.
Max Mayfield is one the center of attraction throughout Season 4 of The Stranger Things as she soon becomes the last prey of Vecna to open Portal of Upside Down. The scene which created a huge impact on the audience and became the most loved part of the season was Max breaking the Vecna’s spell with the help of her favorite song. After this sequence, the songs were revitalized again and gained a tremendous amount of fame.
A few days after releasing part 2 of Season4, The Stranger Things Official YouTube channel shared a video that had dramatic reactions from Priah Ferguson, Sade Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin, and Finn Wolfhard. The entire cast had various reactions to Max’s encounter with the Vecna. It was very interesting to watch them share their views.

The season 4 finale sees Max and Vecna meet again and this time her Kate Bush charm did not help her and Max cannot escape his grasp before she is blinded, has multiple limbs gruesomely broken, and dies. However, Eleven uses her powers to bring her back to life, but two days later, Max is revealed to be in an unconscious state.
