Actress Kate Winslet and director James Cameron of “Titanic” are collaborating on the Avatar sequel after almost 26 years apart. The movie titled Avatar: The Way Of Water is slated to hit theatres on December 16 of this year. Since the original movie’s premiere, which more than ten years ago astonished audiences with its blue-skinned aliens, fans have been impatiently awaiting its release.
Meanwhile, the cover of Empire magazine’s special Avatar edition included Kate Winslet’s first-look poster from the movie. On the cover, the actress was depicted as having huge eyes and pointed canine fangs. She is seen yelling at someone while clearly displaying her wrath on her forehead. In an interview with the magazine, Kate discussed her personality and said, “She is deeply loyal and a fearless leader. She is strong. A warrior. Even in the face of grave danger, and with an unborn baby on board, she still joins her people and fights for what she holds most dear. Her family and their home.”
Ronal is shown standing next to Tonowari (Cliff Curtis) in the image as they both look off into the horizon. The image provides a close-up view of the two characters, clearly displaying the sophisticated CGI. Ronal and Tonowari are different from the Na’vi characters first seen in the first Avatar movie in that they have blue rather than yellow eyes, as well as body and facial tattoos. In keeping with the vibrant universe that viewers fell in love with in the first movie, the two characters also each have elaborately crafted clothes that burst out of the screen.

The most recent issue of Empire Magazine portrays Ronal poised for war on Pandora’s oceans alongside the new image. The cover displays the film’s intricate CGI in all its glory, including Ronal’s thick, wavy hair that seems realistic and the tiny individual water particles that are dispersed throughout it. How much of a part Winslet’s character will have in Avatar: The Way of Water’s narrative is still a mystery. In the movie, Ronal will be expecting, which can cause problems as the fighting gets more intense. That won’t deter her from being willing to fight.
Cameron is the director of Avatar: The Way of Water, which has Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaa, CCH Pounder, Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang among its cast. On December 16, the movie will only be seen in theatres. On September 23, fans will also be able to rewatch the first movie in theatres.
According to sources, Avatar The Way of Water continues the plot of the 2009 movie “Avatar.” Sam Worthington’s character Jake Sully, Zoe Saldana’s Neytiri, Stephen Lang’s Colonel Miles Quaritch, and Dr. Grace Augustine could all make a comeback in the movie
