At that time, Stone Ocean, the hit franchise’s brand-new anime season, debuted on the Netflix streaming service to a fantastic global reception.
With only 12 episodes released by the streaming behemoth, many fans were quick to binge the full of the new season’s ‘part 1’ and openly attack the platform for holding the show in ‘Netflix Jail.’ Thankfully, Netflix has now announced the release date for JoJo’s Stone Ocean Part 2 in a brand new teaser trailer – here’s everything fans need to know.

ANIMEJAPAN 2022 CONFIRMS STONE OCEAN PART 2
The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean franchise was showcased at the April AnimeJapan event, when it was stated that Part 2 of the fan favourite anime was now in production.
While fans all across the world were clearly overjoyed at the news, the majority of the Stone Ocean community was already convinced that the anime would return at some point.
The first hint that the series would release a second instalment was the number of episodes that part one had back in 2021. Each prior season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure had between 26 and 48 episodes, implying that Stone Ocean was just halfway through the franchise’s average season length.
Similar to this, the next anime season still has a tonne of source material from the first Stone Ocean comic arc to cover. According to Anime Geek, the first 50 chapters of the original tale have been converted by the end of Stone Ocean episode 12.
The good news for fans is that Shueisha published 158 chapters of the Stone Ocean story arc during its initial Japanese run. This implies that, if David Productions stick to their current timeline, we might see not just a part 2 of Stone Ocean, but also a part 3! Finally, there is popularity, which is difficult to dispute after spending even a brief amount of time looking through social media. As of July 2nd, the show has received a rapturous response from viewers all around the world, garnering scores of 8.2/10 on IMDB and 8.36/10 with a rating of “Very Good” and 344,000 members on MyAnimeList.
