It also features a cast that closely resembles the original characters. Netflix was happy to collaborate with the series’ author, Ryu Yong-jae, on its remake.
According to Netflix, the streaming service worked closely with the Korean version’s authors to ensure that the remake will feel true to Korea. Keo Lee, director of content, Netflix Korea, said, “We were very lucky when we received this pitch from Ryu and the producing team, which felt like the right framework for a remake that would be respectful to the original while bringing something new that fans in Korea and globally would appreciate.”
Kim Hong-sun is in charge of the series’ direction, and Yong-jae, Kim Hwan-chae, and Choe Sung-jun wrote the scripts. Yoo Ji-tae, Kim Yunjin, Park Hae-soo, Lee Won-jong, and Park Myung-hoon are the stars of this crime drama. Yoo Ji-Tae, Park Hae-Soo, Jun Jong-Seo, Lee Won Jong, Kim Ji-Hun, Jang Yoon-Ju, Park Jung-Woo, Kim Ji-Hun, and Lee Kyu-Ho are among the cast members.
