Netflix action-comedy series Obliterated found its first two cast members

Nick Zano Shelley Henig 1

As per Variety, the first two cast members for the Netflix action-comedy series “Obliterated” have been found. The project, which was initially ordered to series at TBS, was picked up by Netflix in May and will feature Nick Zano and Shelley Hennig as its stars.

A lethal threat to Las Vegas is thwarted by an elite special forces unit in the show. The squad learns that the bomb they deactivated was a hoax after their wild celebration party, which included alcohol, drugs, and sex. The now drunken squad must battle through their limitations, get past their conflicts, locate the true bomb, and save the world.

Zano portrays Chad McKnight, the leader of the Special Forces, who is well-liked by the group despite having a reputation for being a wild man both on and off the job. Ava Winters, a CIA agent noted for adhering to the letter of the law, is a character owned by Hennig. But when McKnight sets out on a journey to save the world while Winters is compelled to go back to work despite being injured, their lives are torn apart. According to Deadline, the creators of the renowned comedic drama series “Cobra Kai,” Hayden Schlossberg, Jon Hurwitz, and Josh Heald, are in charge of the film “Obliterated.” It has eight episodes, each of which lasts an hour. Schlossberg, Heald, and Hurwitz are the authors of “Obliterated,” and Sony Pictures Television is the show’s official production company.

Zano is well-known for his role as Steel, Nate Haywood, in The CW’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” a DC Comics television series. His additional television credits include “90210,” “Happy Endings,” “2 Broke Girls,” and “Minority Report.” John Carrabino Management and UTA are his agents. Hennig will take on the role of Ava Winters, a top-tier Special Forces squad leader and CIA senior agent who like to follow the rules. However, the book is rendered useless when she and the team are forced to return to work while intoxicated. “The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window,” a Netflix series, was where Hennig most recently appeared as a lead. She is also recognized for shows including “Teen Wolf,” “Dollface,” and “Days of Our Lives.”
