According to Chris Hemsworth, performing the naked sequence in Thor: Love and Thunder was his dream role, and he first had the idea while doing a shirtless scene as Thor. Chris described the sequence in which Russell Crowe’s Zeus flips off his suit as a “dream” that took ten years to create. In fact, the trailer for the movie received the most replays on YouTube during that very scene.

Previously, Comicbook.com had stated that the YouTube trailer for the film indicates a noticeable increase in viewer repeats at about the two-minute mark, when Chris is seen blurred and naked.

In an interview with Variety, Chris discussed the scenario and said, “It was 10 years in the making that scene — kind of a dream of mine. The first time I played Thor I took my shirt off and I thought, ‘You know what’s gonna sweeten this… a decade from now it’s all gonna come off’. I had had that out in ‘Rush’ many years ago. In a Marvel film, it was a very large screen, it was a very big pair of cheeks, and, I don’t know, I had seen it before.”

Marvel fans aren’t the only ones curious about Chris Hemsworth’s bare bottom appearance in the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer; the actor himself refers to it as a fulfilling dream. In the upcoming movie, Natalie Portman will play Mighty Thor opposite Chris in the role of Thor. Chris is now concentrating on the well discussed scenario where he was exposed but also hidden.
