Season four of HBO’s dystopian sci-fi western Westworld is set to premiere on Sunday June 26 on HBO in the United States and Sky Atlantic in the United Kingdom.
Westworld’s third season had some major plot developments and cliffhangers, which season four looks to address and take viewers deeper into the mysteries of AI’s future.
The return of cast members who were thought to have been killed off or decommissioned in some way, including James Marsden, who played cowboy Teddy Flood in the first two seasons, is one of the most surprising aspects of Westworld season four.
Along with Thandiwe Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Aaron Paul, Ed Harris, Luke Hemsworth, and Angela Sarafyan, Evan Rachel Wood will also be back. Due to the time difference, Westworld season four’s eight episodes will air concurrently in the US and the UK on Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on HBO and at 2 a.m. on Mondays on Sky Atlantic in the UK. Episode one of season four will air on June 27 at 2 a.m. on Sky Atlantic.
If you don’t already have a Sky subscription, you can get their 18-month Sky Ultimate TV bundle for £26 per month. Sky also has a number of promotions for its brand-new streaming TV, the Sky Glass, where you can purchase a TV and the Sky Ultimate TV bundle for an additional £13 a month.
This bundle includes Netflix as part of the subscription in addition to Sky Atlantic, which carries Westworld, as well as additional channels including Sky Documentaries, Sky Showcase, Sky Comedy, Sky History, National Geographic, and many more.
If you haven’t seen Westworld or need a refresher before season four, you can catch up with a Sky subscription by watching seasons one through three. In addition to watching all prior seasons of the programme, Westworld season 4 will also be accessible on the streaming service NOW with an Entertainment Pass. All prior seasons of Westworld are available to download and add to your collection, and full episodes of previous seasons may also be purchased digitally on Amazon.
The first episode of Westworld season four, which premieres on Sunday, June 26, at 9 p.m. EST on HBO in the US, will also be made available to stream on HBO Max along with all past seasons of the show.
New cast members will join Westworld’s fourth season, including Prodigal Son actor Aurora Perrineau and Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose (West Side Story).
The specifics of the plot and how the new and returning characters will fit into the fourth season are shrouded in secrecy, as is to be expected. This is especially true of Evan Rachel Wood’s character Dolores, who appeared to have vanished at the conclusion of season three.
